Honoring the Light in You
Acupuncture is a tradition used for health maintenance for 5,000 years. More recently, the World Health Organization has identified 41 conditions that lend themselves to acupuncture treatment. Although I treat whole people and not labels or isolated systems, it is interesting that the National Institutes of Health have noted acupuncture's utility in adult post-operative and chemotherapy nausea and vomiting, post-operative dental pain, addiction, stroke rehabilitation, headache, menstrual cramps, tennis elbow, fibromyalgia, myofacial pain, osteoarthritis, low back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and asthma. For more information, click here for an article I co-wrote for the Alternative Medicine Foundation.
I am currently practicing full body acupuncture on Thursdays all day and Friday mornings. New patient appointments are $120 (unless a current medical patient), follow-up $85.
I continue to see patients for consults at my medical practice, Integrative Family Medicine, LLC. For more information regarding my medical practice, click here.

About
I have been studying acupuncture for about 3 years, including clinical work at community centers, culminating in my Masters in Acupuncture. The work is very spiritual, yet also very effective in decreasing pain and other symptoms. I find this work very rewarding: its great to see immediate results.
I look forward to further studies in other disciplines as well. I also enjoy yoga and am intrigued by the similarities in these fields. My background is in family medicine, and I went to medical school at the University of Maryland Medical School and completed residency at Georgetown. I currently practice integrative medicine as well, and work simple acupuncture treatments into these appointments as appropriate. However, for the full effect, I recommend the full-body hour long appointments.
